INSC 589 – Web Design

Welcome!

All 589 students have sites here for their individual or group projects.

https://insc589.infosci.utk.edu/yoursite

If you are doing an individual project, the yoursite segment of the address is your NetID.

If you are doing a group project, the yoursite segment of the address will be provided by your instructor.

To log in go to:

https://insc589.infosci.utk.edu/yoursite/wp-admin

Again, replace yoursite with the address segment of your project site.
and click the blue “Sign in with your UT NetID” button.

You’ll see a UT Central Authentication Service page where you’ll enter your NetID and password.

After entering that you’ll see the WordPress Admin/Dashboard area.

If you see a message like this:

Don’t panic! It probably means I entered your NetID incorrectly when I was entering site permissions. I’ll get an email to add you. If you don’t get an email that you’ve been added to your group’s site email me at dgreene@utk.edu and I’ll get things straightened out.

You’re welcome to log in to your site at any time. Note, you cannot install themes or plugins on your site, but if you would like something installed that is not listed in the Appearance/Themes or Plugins menu for your site, I can install it for you.
