Connect With Communication

Our undergraduate programs prepare students to enter into a variety of fields such as law, education, sales, management, and consulting. Our graduate programs excel in ensuring alumni are fully equipped to enter academia with a well-rounded knowledge of interpersonal and organizational communication.

If you’re one of the many students taking one of our two core classes, learn more about how we will support you!

What is Communication Studies?

Communication Studies explores a wide range of topics related to how people communicate with each other in both organizational and social settings. Everything you do that involves other people is done through communication.

Communication Studies provides the foundations for success in both the workplace and in our social lives. Communication studies allows us to enrich our personal lives and delve deeper into meaningful social relationships. In either our Comm Studies major or minor programs, you’ll gain knowledge and skills in a variety of areas.

Our Comm Studies students learn how to show leadership, productively address conflict, give presentations, form and maintain close relationships, and work effectively in a team environment. Comm Studies courses help students to understand organizational processes, as well as gain experience in persuasion and negotiation.
